What to Expect from Axie Infinity Origins Season 2

According to Axie Infinity, Origins Season 2 will be very fast-paced gameplay. At 42 days, this edition is shorter than Season 1. Meanwhile, payouts will occur four times during the season. It will no longer be accumulative prize distribution after the series has ended. In addition, rewards and level-ups will happen much quicker to match this season’s pace.

One significant addition to this event is the introduction of Era. This is a new leaderboard that rewards Lunacians for the entire season with 112,000 $AXS. Besides the token benefits, users can unlock rare Runes and Charms throughout the campaign. The ratings will feature 40,000 players, each receiving compensation that matches their spot on the ranking.

Below is a breakdown of this system:

• Rare Era: 1st 7 days and a payout of 11,200 $AXS. Players can only use basic crafting and there will be no utility slots. Only Common and Rare Rune or Charms will be available.
• Epic Era: Next 14 days and a prize pool of 33,600 $AXS. Utility slots are open and intermediate crafting becomes available. Epic Runes and Charms are unlocked alongside Common and Rare power-ups.
• Mystic Era: Next 7 days and a payout of 16,800 $AXS. All Runes and Charms are now available. Players can also use Master Crafting.
• Final Era: Final 14 days and a payout of 50,400 $AXS. All Runes and Charms are also available for trading, not just crafting.

Note: These leaderboards are independent of each other and your score will be ranked separately. In addition, users who play at least one game within this period will receive a Sealed Epic Rune Choice Box.

Other Changes and Adjustments

Axie Infinity Origins Season 2 will reward active players with a daily login bonus. These rewards expire by the day’s end. So users are encouraged to claim their prize every day. There will also be significant adjustments to the Blood Moon, Keep and Return mechanisms.

Details of the Axie Infinity eSports Grant 3

Like the name states, the Axie Infinity eSports Grant 3 is the third edition of gameplay support funding. Since its introduction, Sky Mavis has donated more than 13,000 $AXS to this initiative. These financial aids have provided amazing opportunities for the early participants to enjoy massive prizes for participating in various competitions.

However, the team decided to up the ante and announced at Axiecon that they will donate 160,000 $AXS ($2.1 million). These funds are allocated to the reward pool for tournaments that will hold between the final three months of 2023 and half of 2023. In addition, the amount mentioned will be mostly for winner prizes.

Besides the payoff size, the dynamic nature of the eSports Grant 3 is another difference. Instead of grouping all contests together, they will be separated into 3 different tiers. Doing this will allocate finance more effectively to organizers of different types and sizes of contests.

However, the team will only give money to organizers who have adequate credentials to match their proposals. If they do not max out the funds over the coming 9 months, it will be set aside for future grants. Nonetheless, it promises to maximize and disburse as much of the funds as it can confidently justify.

Different Tiers of the Axie Infinity eSports Grant 3

As mentioned earlier, Axie Infinity will allocate funds in the eSports grant 3 according to tiers. Below are the different categories and criteria for applications:

Major Tournaments

• Prize pool of $150,000 to $1,000,000 and 8-% must be used for prize pool.
• Finals must be broadcasted in English, Spanish and Tagalog.
• The contest must feature at least 16 players and 75% of them must come from open qualifiers.
• Organizers will receive sponsorship and marketing support from Sky Mavis.

Minor Tournaments

• Prize pool of $50,000 to $150,000, and organizers can use up to
• 80% must be the prize pool, while 20% of funds to cover extra expenses.
• Finals must be broadcasted in English, Spanish and Tagalog. The event must also be physical.
• 50% of players must come from open qualifiers.

Local Tournaments

• 90% is the prize pool, while 10% covers additional expenses.
• Organizers will choose the language with which they will broadcast the event.
• 25% of the players must come from open qualifiers.

The Era7 World Cup Tournament Preview

The Era7 world cup tournament takes place at the end of the month. Each edition of this competition will last for six weeks, The preview points out that players will be divided into four random leagues. This is a global competition, the team is considering every timezone. To this effect, it will be designing a timetable for every activity in this event.
