Details of the Derby Stars Breeding Boost Event

This event will go live by 01:00 UTC on the 5th of October. From that time, players will be able to hatch a soul within 24 hours. This is a significant reduction from the standard 120 hours. Derby Stars is speeding up the breeding process to enable users to get more horses. More so, individuals will have a greater chance of getting a rare foal when breeding.

The breeding event will continue from the above date till 23:59 UTC on the 18th of October. Within this period, the cooling time for breeding will be reduced from 1 week to 0 weeks. By reducing the cooldown time, the team is increasing the chances of players breeding new horses.

Meanwhile, players should be aware of the time when breeding. For example, the time to hatch a soul will return to 120 hours once it is 23:59 on the 18th of October. Therefore, anyone who breeds a horse may miss out on the benefits of this breeding event and have to wait for 120 hours. The same mechanics apply to the cooling time, which will go back to 1 week once the event period is over.

Rewards in the Breeding Event

Derby Stars will be distributing breeding rewards to individuals who participate in the Breeding Boost Event. However, only those who breed foals between the 5th and 18th of October will be eligible for these prizes.

The first one is the 50% payback, where the team will reimburse 4,000 $CRT to riders. Derby Stars is increasing the cost of breeding from 4,000 $CRT to 8,000 $CRT within the period of the event. However, the game will refund 50% of that money for every breeding exercise a player completes after the event. This applies to even those who did not hatch the soul they bred.

In addition, the rider that breeds the most number of horses will receive a Rare Stardust and Dana’s Hammer. The hammer is critical for unlocking Core Slots – a rare item that will debut in the 0.9 update. More so, the rarity of the items that the winner receives will be higher than those available for purchase in the NFT shop.

While unveiling this patch note, the team stated that this is a preparation for a major update that will be coming in October. These modifications are a preparation (a pit stop) for that major upgrade. There will be a separate announcement when that significant edition is launched.

Details of the Derby Stars Version 0.8.21

The latest version is now live, and players can download it from the Derby Stars Website. It features several balances to ensure a more stable gaming experience. For example, the team is implementing the Skill Balance patch. The aim is to adjust the abilities of horses and make them more optimized.

Meanwhile, there are more than 500 skills distributed among different horses within the game. Considering this factor, Derby Stars will not be balancing all of them. Instead, the team will try to improve specific Special Skills.

Going forward, users will be able to activate these skills more frequently. However, there are still certain terms and conditions that individuals must fulfill before using these boosters. Regardless of the new eligibility criteria, the new system makes it easier for people to get ahead in races.

Bug Fixes and Other Updates

Besides skills, there are other modifications coming to the Derby Stars Version 0.8.21. For example, getting more Cores that pile up improves the Distance Aptitude of your horse. However, staking up too many Cores adversely affects their efficiency.

In addition, the mobile version will have more resolution options. Individuals accessing the game via phones are now able to receive push notifications. Everyone is now able to access all types of turfs in the PVE training mode. Directions are now correctly displayed during PVP matches. Horses will no longer shake at lower FPS.

Details of the Derby Stars PVP Season 2

Season 2 of the PVP will begin at 9:00 UTC on the 30th of August. Players will be opportune to challenge other players from that date till 9:00 UTC on the 6th of September.

Over the course of these 7 days, participants will engage in races at dedicated durations. Below is a breakdown of racing times during the event:

• 02:00 to 05:00 UTC: 8 matches.
• 08:00 to 11:00 UTC: 8 matches.
• 14:00 to 17:00 UTC: 8 matches.
• 20:00 to 23:00 UTC: 8 matches.

Players are advised to accumulate as many wins as possible. The reason is that only those who rank up to 1,000 will be eligible for rewards. More so, winning races are the best way to climb up the ratings.

To ensure that competitive gameplay, the team is making cores available throughout this season. People can check the rankings every day to see how they are faring against other players. Meanwhile, the leaderboard will be refreshed on a daily basis at 00:00 UTC.

Derby Stars Unique Box Unboxing Event

Starting from the 7th of August, players will be opportune to earn various rewards when they burn their Unique Random Box. From that date till the 17th of September, individuals will be opportune to earn limited edition horses. Some new and existing users have already gotten these items. Anyone who has these digital assets should visit the Derby Stars website to burn their boxes.

Those who complete this step will be eligible for a Surprise Event set for the 17th of September. Furthermore, there will be a raffle on the 22nd of September, and those who burned their boxes will be eligible for this exercise. The reason is that individuals who do not migrate their horses from Terra Classic may not be eligible for this airdrop. Meanwhile, the migration page is not available at the moment. This is because the team is working towards introducing a new migration process.

Meanwhile, those who are yet to migrate their assets will get another opportunity to do so. In addition, Derby Stars will issue a new policy regarding this process in a subsequent blog post. Anyone interested in this airdrop must migrate their Horse NFTs before February 2024. Furthermore, anyone who owns horses in Terra Classic will no longer be eligible to receive tokens once the vesting period of 6 months is over.

Schedule of the Derby Stars $DSRUN Airdrop

Derby Stars had earlier announced that it would be distributing $DSRUN to Origin Horse holders via an airdrop. This is because these individuals are the pioneers of the community from the initial stages. Keeping to its promises, the team is sharing the schedule that this process will follow.

The $DSRUN airdrop will begin with a snapshot by 00:00 AM UTC+0 on the 1st of August. After taking the screenshot of players’ wallets, the team will release the first batch of tokens by 10:00 AM UTC+0 on the 3rd of August.

Rental System Makes the Game Accessible to All

Firstly, the Rental System allows new players to try Derby Stars for free by renting horses. So this will remove barriers to entry into the game.

Existing NFT holders also benefit from it, and they can earn rewards when they rent their unused horses to new players.

If demand exceeds supply, the game system provides “non-tradable” rental horses to ensure everyone can play. NFT horses are prioritized to prevent competition. Free rentals last two weeks, with paid long-term rentals coming soon.

Seasons Add Excitement and Opportunity

Secondly, the seasonal competitions will not consider any preset rankings to keep things fair. So, it will help new players compete while motivating experienced players with new goals.

Shorter seasons enable faster reward distribution. Players earn points based on rankings, so even lower ranks get rewards. Each season has unique tracks and rules, preventing the same horses from dominating.

Final seasonal rewards are $RUN tokens based on points earned per horse. A future championship will also happen and will be between top point earners.

Considering that this testnet will run for three weeks (27th February to 20th March), it was important to ensure a seamless gameplay experience. In addition, the press release stated that this is the first patch note. This implies that there will be further improvements and fixes as the devs discover other defaults.

Improvements in the Derby Stars Patch Note Ver 0.7.9

Besides ensuring glitch-free gaming, Derby Stars Patch Note Ver 0.7.9 introduces a mini-game. Users can play it using the left and right-clicking options on their mouse, as it corresponds to the arrows within the game. Meanwhile, the team has renamed Victory Points in the training mode to Training Points. This will ensure that players do not mistake them for Victory Points in the PVP Mode.

Details of the Derby Stars NFT Stater Pack Airdrop

The Derby Stars NFT Starter Pack airdrop will run from 8:00 AM UTC-0 on the 13th of January 2023 till the same time on the 17th of February 2023. This will begin with the Game Nights, that will hold between 13th of January till the 15th of February. Meanwhile, this exercise is open to everyone.

Users who are interested in this event should join the Derby Discord Server – where the action will take place.
