The Arrival of the Xzyzar

The Xzyzar have arrived in the realms, leading Expedition Caravans and eager to bring Heroes along to help them hone their skills. This new feature promises to add depth and flexibility to the game, making it more engaging for players.

Expedition Basics

Expeditions build upon the current Quest system, adhering to similar rules and mechanics. Players can utilize all existing quests, including Fishing and Foraging, as Expeditions. They will make identical decisions regarding which Heroes to deploy, their skill levels, and the number of attempts. Just like regular quests, Expeditions provide the same rewards.

Participants have the flexibility to decide the number of quest cycles to undertake during their expedition. Each cycle represents a complete round where the Heroes engage in the quest and subsequently regain the stamina they used.

The total number of cycles is constrained solely by the length of the locked JEWEL, enabling expeditions to span anywhere from under a day to as long as three years.

Key Differences

Several disparities between standard quests and expeditions aim to improve efficiency:

• All expeditions run independently and simultaneously, without queuing behind one another.
• Fishing, Foraging, Training Quests, and Gold Mining have no queue limits, allowing any number of expeditions per wallet.
• Gardening pools and Token Mining are limited to three active expeditions at a time per wallet.
• A new “unlimited” Gardening Pool, Gaia’s Garden, is available for expeditions, offering minimum token rewards, jackpots, and standard Gardening items.

Fees & Escrow

As a premium feature, Expeditions require a small fee of 0.0003 JEWEL per stamina expended by each Hero for the entire duration of the expedition. This fee is collected at the start and placed in escrow, distributed when rewards are claimed. JEWEL fees follow the standard distribution schedule: 5% burned, 15% Jeweler Rewards, 30% Quest Fund, and 50% Development Fund.

Power-Ups

Expeditions function as a series of Power-Ups, allowing players to choose which features to use. Future updates will include auto-leveling for Heroes on active expeditions.

Expeditions offer a new way for players to passively interact with DeFi Kingdoms, keeping their Heroes busy and allowing more time to engage in other content within the Kingdoms. The community eagerly anticipates the new adventures and challenges this feature will bring.

Duels Solo Mode Returns:

• • Players can now engage in Duels Solo Mode, which has made a triumphant comeback. Located in the Tavern, this mode offers a fourth option for players seeking thrilling battles.
  • Notably, the fees for Duels Solo Mode have been slashed by 50%, making it more accessible to all players. However, rewards have also been adjusted accordingly.

Visages and Mr. E:

• • The Berserker Update introduces visages and mysterious artifacts that hold great power. Mr E, the enigmatic character in DeFi Kingdoms, now displays the number of visages purchased by players.

Quest Summary Enhancements:

Skill 10 Upgrades:

• • If all Heroes in a quest are eligible for the Skill 10 Quest of the same type, players can now upgrade the quest from Skill 0 to Skill 10 with a single click. Efficiency at its finest!

QuickFix Buttons:

• • To prevent broken states and unusable quests, DeFi Kingdoms now offers several QuickFix Buttons: 
    • Remove “Bridged” Heroes
    • Remove “Already Queued” Heroes
    • Remove “Already Questing” Heroes
  • These buttons make managing quests hassle-free.

Enhanced Hero Tooltip:

• • Clicking on a Hero Portrait in various models (Quest Queue, Active Quest, Quest Reward, and Active Hunt) reveals an expanded tooltip.
  • The tooltip displays class, subclass, level, stamina (including future stamina for queued Heroes), XP information, and a button to view detailed Hero stats.
  • For Heroes with full XP who are not currently questing, a “Level Up Hero” button takes players directly to the Meditation Circle modal.

In the first phase, private matches will be introduced, allowing players to customize battle requirements and wager on matchups. This phase will serve as a gentle introduction to the PvP system and allow players to familiarize themselves with its mechanics.

The second phase will include an automated tournament system, where players can participate in tournaments with lucrative prizes. This stage aims to provide players with the opportunity to showcase their skills in a competitive environment.

The popular DeFi Kingdoms platform has announced updates related to combat potions, designed to improve accessibility and balance the game for all adventurers. These new modifications affect both manufacturing costs and existing potions, offering a more dynamic and fair gaming experience.

One of the main innovations focuses on the manufacturing costs of combat potions. Now, the amount of “Tears of Gaia” required to craft each potion has been drastically reduced, becoming one-fifth of the previous amount. This reduction varies depending on the type of potion, meaning that it will now be more economical and faster to craft essential combat potions.

Additionally, with the decrease in the cost of combat potions, the requirements of “Minor Upgrade Stones” recipes in the Stone Carver now demand three times the amount of any combat potion that was previously needed. This measure aims to maintain a proper balance and ensure that the game economy remains in tune with player expectations.

DeFi Kingdoms Takes Necessary Precautions Not to Leave Some Players at a Disadvantage and Not to Break the Game Economy

Regarding existing combat potions, a significant change has been implemented. All previously crafted potions have been transformed into “Potion Boxes.” Which equate to four times the number of the respective potion when opened. These boxes facilitate the migration of potions from the old contract to the new one. Ensuring that players who have crafted potions are not disadvantaged by this update.

To convert the old Potion Boxes into the new potions. Players can access their inventory and select the “Open Boxes” option. This will open all potion boxes and return the new potions equivalent to their original content. Sllowing for a smooth transition to the new game mechanic.

It is important to note that all contracts that interact with potions will use the new version of them, not the potion boxes. This includes the Alchemist, the Stone Carver, and the Item Vendor, who will manufacture, consume, and sell the new potions. Additionally, the future “Bring Your Own Potion” functionality for combat will require the use of the new potions.

DeFi Kingdoms’ Update Addresses Other Issues

The update also adds the Pass Turn mechanic, which lets heroes skip their turn and gain initiative. This can open up new tactical options and synergies. Moreover, the update changes some skill formulas to use dynamic stats, which makes heroes more rewarding for their specific attributes. The accuracy formula and status effects, such as Daze, Stun, and Taunt, have also been tweaked for better balance and gameplay.

The update also addresses some feedback from the Void Hunters, who have been battling the Mad Boars in the Void Hunt mode. The HP growth of higher-level boars has been reduced, and their behavior has been adjusted to make the fights more enjoyable and challenging.

If you want to know the transaction history of any item on the game, now, it’s possible to access this information. Select the Equipment tooltip and position your cursor over the Sales History tooltip located in the lower right corner. This will display the last ten sales entries for the item in question. Spooktacular Season Arrives in DeFi Kingdoms

One of the main attractions is the Dark Summoning feature, which allows players to summon heroes with new and rare skin colors. These skin colors are Plague-Touched Green and Void-Touched Blue, and they can only be obtained during the Halloween Spooktacular. 

The skin colors will also be inheritable by future generations of heroes, making them highly valuable. Another exciting event is the Void Hunt: Mad Boar, where players can battle against Mad Boars and have a chance to win the Gored Gourd Pumpkin Head accessory. This accessory is a unique item with two enchantment slots that can enhance the hero’s stats.

Details of DeFi Kingdoms Pet Treating Update

Pets are an essential part of the gameplay as they bond well with the Hero. However, these in-game characters still need proper care from players. They need feeding after working hard all through the day. To help players, DeFi Kingdom is issuing the Pet Treating Update. The announcement will enable users to understand when their pets are hungry. It will also equip them with information on how to craft treats and feed these digital creatures.

Pets are other hungry or satisfied at every point of gameplay. One way to identify their current state is through bonuses. The reason is that these creatures will only give you bonuses when they are not hungry. Giving food to your pets will make them satisfied and provide you with incentives for a particular period. Treats usually keep in-game creatures well-fed for 3-14 days.

Feeding the pet after the first bonding with a Hero will set its “Hungry At” status to a specific time in the future. Once this is done, people will be unable to feed their pets until, within 12 hours that they will go hungry again. There are no punishments for feeding pets once it is within the 12-hour period.

Meanwhile, the size and quality of treats determine how long a pet will stay before going hungry again. However, players cannot feed the in-game animal when the hero meditates or is on a quest. This implies that users will not get bonuses if their pet goes hungry during questing. In this regard, they should give treats to these virtual creatures before embarking on an adventure.

Types of Pet Treats and Provisions

There are different types of pet treats. Each one has its cost of crafting, and period of duration.

Below are various treats, their prices and duration:

• Regular Treats: 25 Gold and lasts up to 96 hours.
• Premium Treats: 100 Gold, lasts up to 10 days. It also grants players an additional 2% boost from quests.

Players can visit Sheldon in the Crystalvale Marketplace or Nutritionist Ned in the Serendale Eastern Marketplace to craft a treat.

What Features are Available on Launch?

DeFi Kingdoms revealed it took a snapshot of all Land ownership and Locked JEWEL on November 14. The team will use this data for airdrops in Crystalvale and Serendale. The airdrops that will take place at the launch on December 7 include Unlocked JADE, Vesting JADE, and Locked JADE on the Klaytn platform.

Vesting JEWEL airdrops will take place on the same day at DFK Chain. It is worth mentioning that airdrops of Serendale Land on Klaytn and Locked CRYSTAL on DFK Chain will hold at a later date.

More Features to Expect from DeFi Kingdoms Serendale on Klaytn after Re-Launch

Marketplace: Users will have the opportunity to buy and sell game resources, JADE, and other Klaytn tokens through Trader Matoya on the new Klaytn DEX.

Gardens: This feature will offer incentivized pools for JADE tokens as rewards for liquidity provision. The Gardens will have locked and unlocked JADE rewards with an initial high-emission rate. This will reduce after each epoch. It is worth mentioning that Garden emissions start 24 hours after the completion of Locked and Vesting JADE airdrops.

JEWELER: The game platform announced its sJEWEL goes live immediately at launch. Users can stake JEWEL tokens with the Jeweler for sJEWEL. This allows them to earn a part of the in-game transactions. The locking mechanism will encourage staking and allow project supporters to receive higher rewards and have more say.

Quests: Players can look forward to Profession and Training Quests for their Heroes from the first day. Profession Quests will include Gold Mining, Foraging, and Fishing. Once players lock JADE tokens, they can access JADE Mining. Gardening Quests will also be available immediately but the team will limit the rewards until the Gardening emissions go live.

How to Move and Bridge Assets 

Liquidity Pool Tokens: Druid Lazarus

Users can visit Druid Lazarus to withdraw Liquidity Pool tokens from its Gardens and divide the seeds into the primary tokens. Users can bridge JEWEL to Crystalvale directly on DFK Chain in the Dockmaster.

However, they can send other tokens, such as AVAX, to Avalanche C-Chain through the Multi-chain Bridge or the in-game Synapse Bridge. DeFi Kingdoms game platform emphasized users must be aware of liquidity before they bridge tokens.

Bridging: Dockmaster Maria

The Dockmaster will assist users to bridge their remaining Heroes, Pets, and Tokens. To do this, users must visit the Dockmaster Maria page to bridge their assets. They are to select the appropriate menu item from the list and send them to the relevant destination.

xJEWEL: Jeweler Ian

This will aid users in withdrawing any leftover xJEWELs and converting them into JEWEL to bridge.

Item Bridge

Users can also bridge their Ragweed, Potions, Bloaters, Attunement Crystals, Enhancement Stones, and other quest items earned in Serendale. Users must visit their Inventory and click on the item they want to bridge. Next, they should select the “Bridge Item” option; validate and sign the transaction. 

Locked JEWEL

According to the game platform, it is impossible to bridge locked JEWEL. Instead, the platform will snapshot and redistribute them on Klaytn and DFK Chain as locked JEWEL, locked Klaytn Power Token (KPT), and locked CRYSTAL.

This will be based on the latest tokenomics distribution schedule voted and approved by the community. Locked JEWEL holders do not have anything to do as the platform will take care of it.

What Changes can Users expect with the Movement of Serendale to Klaytn?

The movement of Serendale to Klaytn will come with minor visual updates and other changes to the DeFi Kingdoms’ tokenomics. Here are the highlights of the proposed changes that will come with the movement:

Retirement of Serendale from Harmony

• DeFi Kingdoms will turn off all upgradable smart contracts through a phased schedule
• Based on the current Harmony schedule, Locked JEWEL will return to unlock
• The game platform will provide fully functional bridges to transfer assets to DFK Chain before the retirement
• DeFi Kingdoms will take a snapshot of any DFK-native tokens that do not move assets through the bridge

Launch of Serendale 2.0 on Klaytn

• The game platform will make some minor visual updates to the look and feel of the game realm.
• Users will have access to a new native DEX where they can mint new utility tokens. The native DEX is yet to launch, and the platform will reveal the name of the new utility token in due course.
• The gene sets and new classes will synchronize with the Klaytn theme.
• The In-game bridge services will support bridging between Klaytn and DFK Chain.

Utility and Changes to the JEWEL Token

• JEWEL will become the Fee Sharing and Governance token for all chains
• The platform will reduce the supply cap of JEWEL to 125mm, and there will not be any opportunity to mint more
• The in-game benefits of having a specific number of xJEWEL are subject to timelock

New Klaytn Power Token (KPT)

• The name of the new token is yet to be revealed, and it will be the sister token of CRYSTAL. Gamers will use it for all gameplay features associated with Serendale 2.0
• The first liquid of 20mm of KPT will be distributed to locked JEWEL holders with a year linear unlock schedule.

Crystal Update

• CRYSTAL will remain the gameplay utility token for Crystalvale
• The game platform will phase out xCRYSTAL, and the given JEWEL will become the only token for staking at JEWELER

The DeFi Kingdoms will hold a voting event on August 30 to deliberate and vote on this proposal. Community members can vote with xJEWEL from Crystalvale and Serendale and xJEWEL from Gardens and Heroes. For the proposal to pass, it requires a majority vote.
