Here are highlights the Plant Vs Undead community should know about the new update.

Element and Type

Each Undead and Plant is categorized under a type and an element. The “type” refers to the primary factor that determines the resistance against every element within the game. The “Element”, on the other hand, refers to what they can do.

It is crucial to know the type of an Undead and the elements it resists as this knowledge can alter the outcome of any battle. Although each Undead belongs to a specific type, all NFT Plants are, by default, a component of the Flora type.

Buff and Debuff

The volume of the stats calculation will get boring as the battle progresses. To guide against this, Plant Vs Undead is introducing additional effects to damaging skills to spice up the game. These are the Buff and Debuff.

Buff covers all positive effects that enhance the combat prowess and survivability of self and allies. The components of Buff include Amped, Bulked, Haste, Fleet, Warded, and Regen.

Debuff covers all negative effects ranging from lowering enemy stats and/or hindering their abilities. The components include Burn, Poison, Bleed, Slow, Feeble, Impaired, Broken, Blind, Silence, Disarmed, and Stun, among others.

Undead Gallery

The Undead Gallery features key players in the world of the Undead Vs Plant. They include Drockwyrm, Wailforce, and Drusgartt.

Drockwyrm belongs to the Dragon type and Earth element. It functions as a Tanker and Physical Damage Dealer. Drockwyrm is a terrifying predator with different skills. These include Prima Shell, Feralism, Stone Carapace, Horn Slam, Mad Charge, and Scaled Shed.

Wailforce belongs to the Beast type and Ice element. Its role is an Assault Leader and it also has several skill sets, including Razor Fang, Freezing Fang, Atomic Phase, Empowering Howl, Demoralizing Howl, and Lethal Lunge.

Drusgartt belongs to the Avian type and Wind element. It functions as a Spellcaster and Disruptor. Drusgartt is a night hunter with many skill sets. Its skills include Fling, Silent Sound, Gust, Mind Control, Deafening Sonic, and Aerial Slash.

Details of the PVU Airdrop Event for Land Owners

The PVU airdrop event will take place in the middle of April 2022. Which will be after launch of the FactoryChain that comes after the version 3.3. This will come after the end of the ongoing Land sale. As for the sale itself, it will continue till the 31st of March.

Unlike most airdrops, this reward event will feature the use of NFTs. Buyers will earn these benefits for each portion they buy. These means that, they’ll get more NFTs if they buy more Lands. Plants Vs Undead gave a breakdown of how it will reward users who buy Lands. Below is the breakdown:

For the Ongoing sale:

• Users who buy XXL Land will get: 1 Epic Undead Egg and 2 Epic Stage 2 NFT Plants

Details of the Farm 3.0 Undead Egg Presale

Starting from January 24th, the sale will run for 14 days. Over this period, there will be three levels of eggs available during this sale. They include the common egg, rare egg and epic egg. Each egg costs 100 PVU, 250 PVU and 500 PVU respectively. There will be no total cap for the amount of eggs. However, PVU will be enforcing certain restrictions to the ownership of egg. Players can only own a maximum of 2 common eggs, 2 rare eggs and 1 epic egg. These restrictions are necessary to sustaining the in-game economy.

Despite the announcement, Plants Vs Undead did not state the specific benefits of owning undead eggs. However, the game did state that eggs will hatch when Farm 3.1 goes live in February.

PVP Season 1 Rewards Distribution

Following the closing of the first PVP season, PVU is distributing rewards to winners. The game closed the maiden PVP season by 0:00 UTC on the 23^rd of December. Also, distribution was done on that same day. More so, distribution of rewards is automatic once the results were recorded. To claim your rewards, simply go to the leaderboard. On the leaderboard screen, click on the reward box on the left.

There is also another update coming up on the 26^th of January. This update is titled Organic Growth.  It will feature the following changes:

• Unlimited durability NFTs
• Earn from winning
• New offering.

As part of this update, there will also be changes to plant prices. As mentioned in PVP: A New Reign, Growth Energy (GE) will be the new game currency. Therefore, plant prices will be in GE. Besides plants, mother tree prices will also be in GE. Undead spawning prices will be in growth energy too. For each undead you spawn, your GE income per wave will increase permanently.

Changes in Tokenomics in PVP: A New Reign

Before considering changes in gameplay, let’s examine changes in the in-game economy. This because game’s tokenomics will significantly impact gameplay. In this new season, PVU is introducing a new token – Battle Points (BP). In A New Reign, players will earn BPs from winning battles in the Ranked Mode. However, rewards be according to the NFTs the winner uses while playing. Users can also exchange BPs for FPVUs – 100 BPs = 1 FPVU.

Furthermore, season 2 will be introducing new plants’ attributes. Nature’s Blessing is one of them. This new attribute will have significant impact on how much BPs players will earn per win. The higher a plants Nature’s Blessing, the more its BPs per win and vice versa. Old Offering plant NFTs have lower nature’s blessing while New Offerings have higher nature’s blessing. Minted plants have this attribute in low amount while cloned plants do not have this attribute at all.

Another attribute is endurance, which is only specific to New Offering plants. These plants have a default value of 2 and they have unlimited durability. Plants with an endurance value of 0 will not provide BPs when players use them to win battles. However, players can still deploy them to battles. For every win in the Ranked Mode, the plant’s endurance value will reduce by 1. To ensure balance, PVU will refresh the endurance of plants by 0:00 UTC every day.

Changes to Gameplay

In this new season, there will be changes to the course of gameplay. For example, it is renaming Seasonal Mode to Ranked Mode. In addition, PVU will reset all MMR by the end of Season 1. It will also close the normal mode temporally for improvement. Normal mode will return later on with better updates.

Also, there will be a new in-game currency – Growth Energy (GE). This currency is strictly for in-game purposes. You will receive an amount of GE at the beginning of each wave instead of earnings from killing undeads. This currency will not be related to BP or FPVU. Despite the changes, the game remains simple to understand.

Details of the Increase in PVP Liquidity Reward Pool

With just 10 days left of the PVP maiden season, fights are becoming exciting. Therefore, Plants Vs Undead is looking to end this season in style. In this regard, it will be adding certain tokens to its PVP Liquidity Reward Pool. Moreso, it will be adding $FUSD and $FPVU tokens to this pool. Even better, players do not have to wait for the next PVP season to get these rewards. PVU will be adding 1,000,000 $FUSD and 2,500,000 $FPVU by 7:30 UTC on the 12th of January.

Speaking of the PVP Season 1, the game will be closing this first season by January 23, 2022. Also, the time for closure is 0:00 UTC. Therefore, players should stack up points on the leaderboard. Once it is 0:00 on January 23, PVU will no longer record any further results. This is because it plans to deliver rewards to the winners on the day it closes PVP’s first season.

In coming days, Plants will be giving further updates about the next PVP season. In the meantime, here are some teasers of what to expect. The new season will come with a new reign. This includes immortal NFTs. There will also be earnings per game as well as a whole new gameplay experience.

Issues with the PVU Servers

On the 11th of January by 23:30 UTC, Plants Vs Undead closed the PVP server for one hour. This did not go down too well with many players. In this regard, they did not hesitate to register their discontent in the comment section. However,

Not up to five hours after that routine maintenance, the game also announced that it will be disabling the LE -> PVU exchange function. By disabling this feature, it will be able to complete a maintenance on that function. This maintenance will take up to 48 hours foe completion. From user complaints, it seems there is to be an issue when users try to swap tokens. Also, some transactions are failing to take effect or appear in receiving wallets.

The Farm server maintenance will run from 4:00 UTC to 8:00 UTC on the 10th of January. Over the course of this period, players will not be able to partake in gameplay. Also, this update will also affect playing mini games. Players who are playing mini games within the period will be forced to skip them. However, Plants Vs Undead did not state if this will affect the PVP mode of the game.

This maintenance will also usher in the changelog 3.0.1 to PVU. In this changelog, players will get a better fishing experience. The overall gameplay and control in the fishing minigame will improve. Also, PVU is also balancing the stats to provide a better feeling. Besides the stats, it is balancing the drop rates. In other words, players will get higher chances of seeing rare and epic fishes in the minigame.

As mentioned earlier, the maintenance was also due to certain issues. Therefore, there will also be bug fixes and other improvements in this upgrade. Farm 3.0 Launch Details

As mentioned earlier, PVU anticipates January 1st for the release. In this update, Plant Vs Undead is promising a complete game overhaul of the current system. The first major changes is stopping the Light Energy (LE) rate from increasing every Friday. This will help gardeners to farm even better. Like in earlier posts, there will be loads of mini games in Farm 3.0. From the indications, this new update will make waves upon its arrival.

Changes made in the PvP Version 0.51.1

This update takes effect from the 27th of December 2021. One of the major changes is the “lost connection flow” features. With this feature, players will be able reconnect to the game better. Especially after losing connection midway through playing the game. Another important feature is that the upgrades you will make on the Undead will now be more effective. Besides polishing the game’s FX, the game also reduces the cost of summoning a mini boss from 2500-1500.

As mentioned earlier, there are also some bug fixes. One of such bugs is the bug where the Undead sometime seems immortal. With this Undead, this upgrade, this occurrence will no longer happen. Also, PVU also fixes the bug where your rear guard (wind plant) does not attack. Following this upgrade, PVU game will be more fun and less frustrating.

Details of Farm 3.0

On the 25th of December 2021, Plant Vs Undead announced the details of Farm 3.0. This announcement came via their Substack page. Although the announcement was made on that date, Farm 3.0 will only be released by the end of the year. Meanwhile, it did give players details of what to expect from Farm 3.0.

One of such is the removal of Sapling/Mama. There will be no more Saplings in the shop or inventory. Players will no longer be able to plant them. Instead, the game will convert all current Saplings to “powder”. With this removal, it will introduce a new Sapling/Mama system to replace the current one. This new system will see to the diversification of seasons. There will be Spring, Summer, Autumn and Winter.

In the Winter season however, players will not be able to grow any plants. Instead, the game will introduce other fun acts they can engage in. When it is raining inside the game, you will not have to water your plants. Also, PVU is introducing a number of mini games to Farm 3.0. Despite the numerous changes mentioned, this release does not point ouy all the details. There will still be further additions before the main release.

Gameplay Changes in the PvP Version 0.50.1

This new version goes live today the 24th of December 2021. It will feature a number of changes to gameplay. Through this update, PVU will also be fixing major and minor bugs. One of the changes is that there will be only 1 t-rex in the boss wave. The game will also rebalance the health of all mother trees. Furthermore, the nee version reworks the Spiky Shell Dark Plant. Instead of a single, it will be able to attack multiple targets. For the for the poison shroom parasite plant, it will only be able to attack ground units. However, the Splash damage can still affect flying units.

Bug Fixes in the PvP Version 0.50.1

For the bugs, this updates fixes the slowing down of the death animation. Also, the bee launcher parasite plant will now constantly attack the undead. The new version fixes the issue of it sometimes not attacking the undead. Also, this new version improves some FX and SFX improved. Plants vs Undead noticed that certain plants do not exercise their passive skills. In this new version, the following plants will activate their passive skills:
