Highlights of the DoLL Leaderboard Rules

According to Axie Infinity, monetary incentives will be voided if the user’s account or axie did not follow the stipulated rules. It further mentioned that it will review the top 200 leaderboard accounts and axies after the end of the season. Also, it will make sure that everyone follows the rules.

Also, users are not allowed to use multiple accounts to participate in the event. Anyone caught having climbed the leaderboard using multiple accounts will be disqualified. Axie Infinity has also emphasized the prohibition of the use of cheat programs. 

Any users found to tamper with the leaderboard data or engage in anything that may reflect exploiting the leaderboard status or cheating will be disqualified. Participants are also not allowed to tamper with the time by reducing the speed to normal.

The game platform also mentioned that only ranked games that began before the cutoff time will be counted. Also, gamers are not allowed to sell their Axies to climb the leaderboard during the season.

While informing the community, the team also mentioned removing all listings. As such, sellers will have to relist the Axies they want to sell. This move is part of the transition to Phase 3 of Season 0. When this stage fully launches, everyone will be able to craft Runes and Charms. Afterwards, they can mint these items as NFTs on the trading platform.

Details of the Axie Infinity Great Reset

The first stellar update in the Axie Infinity Great Reset is a new contract to support the ERC 1155. This will help to hold the token standard for Runes and Charms. With it, users can trade these non-fungible tokens anywhere and with anyone. However, this feature will not be available until Season 0 goes live. Currently, the developers are building the backend support for its deployment.

As part of the announcement, Axie Infinity also outlined some benefits of this improvement. They include the following:

Features of the Axie Infinity Origin Tail Cards

There are Bird, Aquatic, Bug, Reptile, Beast and Plant origin tail cards. Each card has their different purposes in the course of gameplay. Below are the different cards:

Aquatic

• Koi – Deal 15 bonus damage per aquatic ally.
• Nimo – You gain 1 energy when you draw the Nimo card.
• Tadpole – This card allows you to shuffle 1 Jinx into the discard pile of your opponent.
• Ranchu – With the Ranchu card, you can attack all enemies. You can also apply Weak for 2 turns.
• Navaga – When you use the Navaga card, you can deal 15 more damage.
• Shrimp – Using this card as your initial will enable you to attack the furthest enemy.

Beast

• Cottontail – This card helps you heal any ally and gain 1 energy.
• Rice – With Rice, users can steal 40 HP gain They will also gain 1 energy if the Axie’s HP is full.
• Shiba – this is more of an attack booster. It gives the team 3 rage if the HP of the Axie is below 50%.
• Gerbil – Using Gerbil will enable you to attack the second-frontmost enemy of your opponent.
• Nut Cracker – With all Nut Cracker cards, Axies can gain 6 damage during battle.
• Hare – When used as your initial booster, you get to draw 1 card.

Bird

• Swallow – Users can deal 15 more damage when they use this as their initial boost.
• Feather Fan – You can deal 4 random hits. Also, you gain 1 feature for every enemy you hit with the Feather Fan.
• The Last One – If this is the last card on your hand, you will deal 20 more damage to your opponent.
• Cloud – It attacks the frontmost non-summoned enemy.
• Granma’s Fan – This enables you to attack all enemies and applies vulnerable for 4 turns.
• Post Fight – This Axie loses 35 HP after battle.

Bug

• Ant – This applies the Taunt skill to your in-game monster for 4 turns.
• Twin Tail – Users with this booster can deal 2 hits.
• Fish Snack – With this booster, you can target any ally. During the next turn, it applies Weak to the monster that attacks the ally for 4 turns.
• Gravel Ant – It targets an ally and applies Fear to any enemy that attacks that ally for 4 turns.
• Pupae – This booster targets an ally and give it 2 Damage Boosts if the target is attacked.
• Thorny Caterpillar – Deals 50% more damage against debuffed enemies.

Due to it play-to-earn feature, players have focused on earning, rather than playing the game. They were selling off SLPs and causing its price to drop in the marketplace. To curb this issue, Axie Infinity is set to adjust Axie breeding fees. Below are details of this press release.

Details of the Adjusted Axie Breeding Fees.

The announcement of this adjustment came via Axie’s substack page. Although the announcement was made today the 8^th of December, it will not take effect immediately. The new breeding fees will take effect from the 9^th of December 2021. This will help to prepare the mind of players.

Following this adjustment, it will cost three times the SLPs to breed Axies. On the other hand, the AXS cost per breed will be reduced to 0.5 AXS. The game also gave reasons for these changes.

With its increase in players, the price of SLPs have become very volatile. One reason was that players were selling off the SLP they earned, instead of burning them to create more Axies.

By doing this, they were causing the prices of SLP to drop in the cryptocurrency marketplace. This led to confusion, worries and even frustrations for the game’s players. Players were feeling as though their consistent efforts were going down the drain.

While Axie Infinity wants to reward players for their immediate effort in playing the game, it goes beyond that. The game is more concerned about creating a sustainable economy that will serve in the long term.

It is also using this medium to appeal to its new players. Despite its play-to-earn feature, new gamers should not have unrealistic expectations for the game. There is a very important need to balance the game’s economy.

Reasons for these Changes

Axie Infinity believes that the price volatility is down to two major causes:

• The prize of AXS being too high
• High AXS price has led to SLP flooding the marketplace

It believes that by reducing the amount of AXS needed for breeding Axies, it will encourage players to breed more in-game characters. Considering that Players need SLPs for breeding, they will be able to use more SLPs in breeding. This will stop Smooth Love Potions from flooding the marketplace.

Upon the announce of the outcome of its private funding event, Axie Infinity announced that it will be making changes to the game. However, not much details were given. It only stated that it will reduce the amount of SLP players will get for completing certain modes. In this regard, below are the details of the recent update.

Factory Reset for New Owners

One of the major issues with reduction in revenue is that new players do not get to start from scratch. They simply just take the Axies of existing players (along with improved abilities) and play. To correct this, game characters will reset back to level one once they change owners.

Players to Store Their History

Another change to the game will be how players store their match history. Moving forward, they will now store their match history on their devices. Although this is a temporary update, there is not much information as to how long this process will continue. Players are assuming that this change is to further enforce the rule above.

Friendly Duels Return

On the bright side though, this update will see to the return of friendly duels. Players will now be able to challenge trainers on their friends list to friendly duels. Players can use these challenges to train their Axies and improve their strategies. This will increase your chances of winning battles, accumulating XRs and earning SLP.

Certain Players Will No Longer Receive SLP

To ensure that players are using SLP for in-game purposes, Axie Infinity is limiting the categories of players that can earn SLP. Accounts with less than 800XR will no longer be able to earn SLP from Adventure or Arena modes. Also, they will not be able to receive SLP from daily quests.

On a final note, there will also be changes as to how the Ronin Sidechain will display addresses.
