Sky Mavis, the creator of the battle-themed, NFT game, Axie Infinity, has launched a new token it calls $RON. According to the developer, its mission is to create rewarding yet fun and engaging game experiences for gamers.
Its objective is to create decentralized and open foundations to enable individuals to contribute, team up, and succeed as a community. In the light of this, it created Ronin, which is a major component of the foundation.
Ronin was created in response to significant transactional issues that were experienced during the creation and scaling of Axie Infinity. While still passionate about Axie Infinity, Sky Mavis’ goal is to work with the next-gen NFT game developers to help unlock their creative prowess.
The developer is committed to collaborating with industry players to develop a broad gaming ecosystem with the same huge user base, deep asset liquidity, community-owned applications, and applications. The launch of the Ronin strategy and the RON Token is an important milestone for this goal.

What is RON Token?
$RON is a token that players can use to pay for transactions on Ronin. It is designed to improve the stability of the newly created Ronin Chain. $RON will be used for the payment of the gas fee, which will significantly reduce transaction fees.
Owners of RON will have the opportunity to stake their $RON with a validator and earn RON rewards. They will also be able to take part in the network governance with their token. Suffice to mention that the maximum supply of the token is 1,000,000,000.
The first circulating is pegged at 175,000,000. Suffice Holders of this token will get free transactions for having Axies or/and land in Ronin wallets. Members of the community can now claim their $RON tokens from their Katana staking locations.
Highlights of RON/ETH on Katana Platform
Sky Mavis has created a RON/ETH liquidity pool on Katana to establish a strong market for the token. The pool will get 500,000 RON in rewards each day starting from January 28 at 8 pm GMT +7 until February 3, 2022.

Users can buy RON. To make this purchase, you have to visit the official Ronin decentralized exchange on Katana to swap the tokens for $RON. The tokens that can be used for the swap are USDC, SLP, AXS, and WETH.
